“The Old Gas Station” 

Normally I have some long winded or deep thing to say but this time I just like the picture honestly. I had a few options that were all kind of eh that I wasn’t feeling great about, happened to look over today, gasped, and took many pictures. Like the framing could not have aligned better with the signage and junk in the background, framed by the lush leaves, i knew this was my shot.

Vacay balcony views! I loved the way this balcony on our hotel room framed the beach and palm trees. Such a great thing to look at first thing in the morning

I grabbed something from my front porch and barely saw this lil guy hanging out on the screen door. Went back to catch another look and saw how the glass not only framed but multiplied the ladybug and the surrounding landscape. I thought it was really cool to see how something really simple was made complex by some glass and a screen door.

1984 saw early iterations of women's professional cycling at an international level. This was the first year a women's Tour de France was held as well as an Olympic sport in LA (gold won by an American!)

In 1985 many cities around the world saw this new market emerging and held Classics, a 1-day grueling race. Philadelphia was one of these cities.

The Philadelphia Classic and Liberty Classic, men's and women's race respectively, was held from 1985 through 2012. In 2013, the races became both known as the Philadelphia Classic and for the first time in any cycling race, offered the same prize pool for the men's and women's races.

However, in 2016 sponsorship was pulling out and no replacements could be found, thus the race was cancelled. Until 2026. Where it came back with record crowds and viewership. Some of the best riders in the world flying up the Wall in Manayunk.

Here we see the American team (in pink) leading the peloton as they turn onto Kelly Drive towards Lemon Hill Park.
